“I felt like we progressed as the evening went on,” said Coach Trinda Goings. “We had some jitters on defense in the first game tonight, so we adjusted the defense.”
The team had 23 kills for the night. Danielle Pippenger led the team with nine, Alisha Farner had five and Katie Monk had three. Lacey Pulley led the team with 15 assists and Shelby Gillenwater had three. Chandler Blake had two serving aces and Pippenger had one. “I felt like our weakness was blocking,” said Coach Goings. “But they got a lot better as the night went on. I was really pleased with the whole team tonight. They never quit and fought tooth and nail to the end.”
