The surviving relatives include his companion of over 25 years, Joan (Blanchard) Kessler; three children, Andrew (Amy) Adams of Seattle, Wash., and Robin (Marty) Piercy and Chana (Mike) French, both of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Deloris Adams, Elizabeth “Betty” Adams, Peggy Adams and Sandra (David) Knepple, all of Fort Wayne; his brother, Phillip (Sandy) Adams of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Jerry Blanchard, pastor of Anthony Wayne First Church of God, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., or one hour prior to the service Wednesday morning.
Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Association or Parkview Home Health & Hospice, Columbia City.
