Green Center visitor charged with intoxication

A Lafayette man staying at Chain O’ Lakes State Park was arrested on an alcohol charge at Green Center Friday night.
James D. Stratton, 26, was acting suspiciously and attracted police attention near the Haunted House at the Green Center Community Center, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department. Police say his blood alcohol content at the scene measured .15 percent, close to twice the legal limit for driving, and Stratton was taken into custody on a Public Intoxication charge.
Stratton, who was reportedly staying in a cabin at the state park, was taken to the Noble County Jail and held on a $3,500 bond pending an initial court hearing Monday.
