Gibson signs with Lipscomb University

Gibson has a career hitting average of .533 and is second on the all-time stolen base list. She also plays in the summer for Indiana Magic Gold team coached by Kim Clay which helped her get this scholarship.

ÒKasey will immediately come in and challenge to be a starter in the outfield,Ó said Coach Kristin Ryman. ÒShe has great speed and has experience playing all three outfield positions which makes her immediately valuable.  At the plate, she is a lefty slapper who is very smart and able to get on base in multiple ways.  She is a table-setter type of player who has great discipline and works extremely hard to improve her game.  Kasey will be a very coachable player, and to us, that is one of the best qualities a player can have.  She understands the game and has a great approach at the plate.  She knows how to go to the plate with a plan and executeÉagain, a great quality to have as a young player.  She has been well-trained and has been very steady and successful against the best.  Kasey knew she wanted a smaller school, and once we were able to get her on campus, she fell in love with Lipscomb.  Overall, she is a great fit for our programÉshe is a great person, a strong student, and a player who will make our program better.”

Lipscomb University is a private, coeducation; liberal arts institution associated with Churches of Christ and is located in Nashville, Tennessee
