FFA’s highest honor

Churubusco FFA members Brittany Geiger and Elizabeth Fleming received their American FFA Degree at the 85th National Convention in Indianapolis on Saturday, October 27 at Lucas Oil Stadium.  The American FFA Degree is awarded to FFA members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their chapter, district, and state association. The degree can only be awarded to members who have graduated from high school and have continued developing their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program. American FFA Degrees are handed out each year at the National FFA Convention. Less than half of one percent of all 540,400 FFA members from across the nation will receive this award, making it one of the organization’s highest honors. In addition to their degree, each recipient receives a gold American FFA Degree key, and the honors and privileges that go with receiving this prestigious award.
