A homemaker, she also worked at Chamberlin Products as a line worker for four years. Prior to moving to Fort Wayne, she lived at Wolf Lake, Albion, Churubusco, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana. She also lived at Blue Lake, Warsaw, Garrett and Silver Lake. She was a member of Living Hope Church, Warsaw, and attended Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Merriam.
Survivors include her son, Herbert Edward (Petra) Hatcher of Manhattan, KS; daughter, Pamala Dee (Ronald) Hoelle of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rilla Walter of Fort Wayne and Mary Gator of North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Dillard Hatcher, and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Funeral service will be held immediately following calling at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with George Cecil officiating. Burial at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
