I had been hauling beans to the Ag Plus elevator in Arcola for several days helping my brother-in-law finish up harvesting his crop. The elevator only has two young employees other than the lady in the office. These two, Adam Shively and John Linnemeier were doing the work of four as they literally ran from the scales to the dump area and everywhere else to keep the line moving and the farmers in the fields.
Thanks to them working long hours we were able to finish harvesting our beans in enough time to help a neighbor finish his before the rains returned. If all the young workers would work that hard, this country would once again be the number one nation in the world. Thanks, guys, for the long days and still being able to crack a smile.
