Whitley County AARP Chapter 3248 met July 6, 2010 at the Woodlands. President Pat Loe opened the meeting welcoming all present including four guests; Nancy Bollinger, Carolyn Pletcher, Beverly Berry and Terry Almon, who became a member of this Chapter. Virginia Wright led the membership in the Pledge to the American Flag followed by a prayer given by Pat Loe.
The Northeast Purdue Agricultural Center in Columbia City will host a field day to share practical knowledge with farmers on Thursday, August 19. “Every year, Purdue Extension educators from northeast Indiana coordinate and plan the event,” said Ed Farris, Extension educator of agriculture and natural resources. “We try to bring up topics that are current and of interest with our clientele.”
