Virginia June DeCamp

She had been in declining health for the last two years.

Born June 13, 1926, in Jefferson Township, Noble County, she was the daughter of the late Alexis “Lex” and Jessie (nee Speaker) Juif. On October 20, 1945, she married Ervin L. “Junior” De Camp at the E.U.B. Parsonage, Albion; he passed away on August 17, 1996. She spent most of her life in Noble County.  She was a Jefferson Township dairy farmer along with her husband, Junior. She was a member of Noble County Extension Homemaker Club and Rehoboth Missionary Church, in rural Albion; and was a 1944 graduate of the South Whitley High School.

Surviving are a daughter, and son-in-law, Janeie and Paul Meyer of Churubusco; one son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Pam De Camp of Albion; three grandchilden, Joe Meyer, Jeff Meyer and Kariann Norden; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, William “Bill” and Marcelle Juif of Wolcottville and Phillip and Ruth Juif of Goshen.

Funeral service was Friday at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel with Rev. Doug Kennan and the Rev. Gerald Ringenberg officiating.

Burial followed at Sweet Cemetery near Albion. Memorials are to the Noble County 4-H program or the Noble County Fair.
