Survival expo is Saturday

COLUMBIA CITY — The Whitley County Historical Museum will host the annual Whitley County Survival Expo Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Peabody Public Library in Columbia City.

From the hardcore “prepper” to the family who wants to be a little more prepared, this expo will have all the information and goods needed to help you become aware and prepared when a disaster strikes.

There will be speakers and demonstrations on the following topics: Safety and tactical firearms, medicinal and edible plants, tactical medical skills, evade and escape, emergency radio communications, navigation and orienteering, martial arts self defense techniques, every day carry bags, emergency water prep, and assembling and modifying an AR-15 and more.

There will be thousands of dollars of giveaway items from Be Ready Supply, SOG Knives, UST Brands, Fettinger Karate Academy, Coast Tools, Yaesu Radio, Cabelas, Hornady and many others.
