The Second Annual Tyler Andreas Memorial Strength Meet is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m. located at the Little Turtle Elementary School located off of Highway 9 south of Columbia City. Everyone is welcomed to watch the competition.

The Noble Whitley Warriors is a homeschool basketball team comprised of homeschoolers from the Whitley and Noble counties. Saturday afternoon they played against their arch rival Fort Wayne Hawks at the Summit in the final game of the regular season.

CHURUBUSCO - The Churubusco Youth League, a Little League affiliated program, will be holding their annual registration over a series of dates in February. They are registering for Baseball for boys ages 4-15, Softball for girls ages 4-15, and Soccer for both boys and girls ages 4-12.

Cary Blake won the “Beat Big Daddy” contest by one point over Tim Colone. He came from five points back in the last two weeks to overtake the leader. Blake won the last two weeks of the contest getting 14 games correct in both weeks. He ended up with 166 points, one better than Colone. Robin McCormick had 164 and Jay Clark finished with 163. In fifth place four players were tied with 161. They were Bryan Putt, Steve Brumbaugh, Leslie Wegman and Curt Bonar.

Churubusco racer, Bryan Martin capped off a sucessful season by being awarded with a National Top 100 award for Division 2 by NASCAR.

Chad Keener wins week ten Chad Keener is the week ten winner of the “Beat Big Daddy” contest. He picked ten correct games this week and he will receive an “I Beat Big Daddy” t-shirt for his efforts. Eight players were tied for second with nine games right.
