The Churubusco track team hosted Hamilton and Fremont on Tuesday night. The boys were victorious with a 117-12 win over Hamilton and a 104-28 win over Fremont.
Josh LeFever and Austin Boggess both placed in the hurdles for the Eagles. LeFever took first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.90 and in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42 seconds flat. Boggess placed second in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.47 and third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.40.
In the 100 meter dash, Heath Wiggins finished first with a time of 11.30. Luke McParlan placed third with a time of 11.60. In the 200 dash, Wiggins finished second with a time of 23.30.
Alex Zolman placed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.3. Zolman also placed first in the 800 run with a time of 2:04.62. Tanner Hurley finished third in the 400 dash with a time of 55.9 and Joel Fehring placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:09.00.
Connor Hogeston finished first in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:58.77 and finished second in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:31.59. Davon Geiger placed second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:00.38.
Churubusco’s 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 all took home first place with times of 45.30, 3:38.49, and 8:58.48.
In long jump, Zolman took first with a jump of 19’10” and Wiggins took second with a jump of 17’5 ?”. In the high jump, Layne Fulk and Joe Zumbrun both took first with a jump of 5’6”. In pole vault, Zach Adams finished first with a vault of 13’0” and Cory Miller finished second with a vault of 12’6”.
Churubusco swept the discus and the shot put. Getting first for the Eagles in the discus was Travis Glick with a throw of 119’3”. Tyler Nevil placed second with a throw of 105’2 ?”. In the shot put, Brient Hicks took first with a throw of 36’10 ?” and Teegan Brumbaugh finished second with a throw of 34’9”.
The girls’ track team also defeated Hamilton 105-18 and Fremont 73-28.
In the 110 hurdles, Danielle Pippenger placed third with a time of 16.90. In the 300 hurdles Emma Frericks placed second with a time of 52.30.
Peyton Summers swept the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 12.70 and 27.60. Skyler Barrett also placed second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.63.
In the 400 meter dash, Brittany McKinney took first with a time of 1:03.30 and Haley Fulkerson placed second with a time of 1:06.10. In the 800 meter run, Rachel Fehring finished second with a time of 2:49.76.
The Churubusco girls’ 4x100 and 4x800 took first with times of 52.10 and 10:59.5. They finished second in the 4x400 with a time of 4:30.28.
