Mariah Herendeen started on the mound for the Eagles. She got a ball hit right back at her striking her in the leg. She made the out, but was in pain and was taken out after three innings. Next on the mound was Alexis Bankson who went two and two-third innings with five hits, five runs (four earned), and six walks. Closing it out for the Eagles was Savannah Labenz. Labenz went one and one-third innings.
On Wednesday, the Lady Eagles traveled to Heritage, without the seniors (who were on their trip to Chicago). After another close game, the Lady Eagles came up short 7-6. Leading the Lady Eagles with the bats was; Brianne Burkhart, Kasey Gibson, Ashlie Shelton, and Taylor Fry. Burkhart went one for four with one homerun and three RBI’s. Gibson went three for three. Shelton went one for three with two RBI’s and Fry went one for two. Savannah Labenz got the start on the mound for the Lady Eagles. Labenz went six innings with 12 hits, seven runs (six earned), four walks, and two strikeouts.
Thursday, the Lady Eagles hosted the Central Noble Cougars. It was the last game for four of the Lady Eagles on their home field. Alexis Bankson, Taylor Amber, Karissa Labenz and Jess Tartaglia have given a lot to the Lady Eagle program and will be missed when they hang up their cleats and move on to future endeavors. The Lady Eagles dropped the game 14-5 to the Cougars. Leading the Lady Eagles at the plate was Karissa Labenz who went two for three with one double and one RBI. Chandler Blake went two for three, while Jess Tartaglia went one for two.
