Boy Scouts Food Drive

‘Scouting for Food’ Drive a big success

The weather cooperated this year, and the groups had an impressive turnout and collected a record amount of food donations for the annual event.  “This year we collected a total of 370 bags of food which works out to over 1,850 food items,” said Rob Pope, Scoutmaster of Troop 81.  “Every year, the awareness and participation in this event seems to get stronger and stronger.  The generosity of the people of Churubusco always comes through. This town has a Scouting program and a sense of generosity that should make us all proud.”

The food was evenly distributed to the food pantries of Churubusco’s United Methodist Church and the St. John’s Catholic Church.
