Scholarships available to high school seniors

American Legion Family Scholarship – Open to children and grandchildren of current paid members of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or the Sons of The American Legion; and children or grandchildren of members who are deceased and who were current paid members, applications in guidance office, deadline-April 1.

American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program – Information in the guidance office or a social studies teacher at school, deadline-March 14.

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship – Students with ambition, drive, respect, and ability to succeed in college, applications online at www.axa-achievement.com, deadline-February 15.

Cargill Community Scholarship – $1000 given to 350 seniors in the U.S., selected on academic achievement and leadership in extracurricular and civic activities, information on bulletin board, applications online at www.cargill.com keyword: scholarship and at www.ffa.org, deadline-February 15.

DAR Indiana Scholarship – Applicants plan to attend a school in Indiana, $500, based on academics, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, financial need, information and applications in guidance office,  deadline March 1.

DAR National Scholarship – Academics, extra-curricular activities, volunteerism, and commitment to chosen field of study, different deadlines for different scholarships, information and applications in guidance office.

Hoosier Horsepower School Program – The Colts along with the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and the Indiana Soybean Alliance are offering college scholarships.  Students may go online at www.colts.com/hoosierhorsepower to learn more. 

Indiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance Scholarship – 

(IAHPERD) will award (4) $500 scholarships, participation in school activities, community activities, GPA of 3.0 / 4.0, major in one of the following: health education, physical education, recreation, dance education, or allied areas including sport administration at an Indiana college, applications online at www.inahperd.org, or in the guidance office, deadline-January 15.

Knights of Pythias Scholarship – $1000 scholarship, GPA of a “B” or above, applications in guidance office, deadline-January 25.

Noble County Extension Homemaker’s Club Scholarship – Applicant must have been a 4-H member at one time or, the child/grandchild of a member of the Noble County Extension Homemaker Organization or, plan to study Consumer & Family Sciences or Agri-Business related courses, two $500 scholarships, deadline-April 1.

PHP (Physicians Health Plan) Scholarship – Seniors pursuing a career in a health-related field, 

GPA 3.0/4.0, applications in guidance office, deadline-February 25.

 Romary Financial Services Scholarship – $2500, student planning to earn a degree in college, vocational school, or trade certification, applications in guidance office, deadline-January 12.

Ruth B. Sayre Scholarship – (Indiana Extension Homemakers Assoc.) – $500, must be a female who shows financial need, deadline-February 15. U.S. Bank’s Internet Scholarship Program – seniors planning to attend a four-year college and who participate in the U.S. Bank No Fee Education Loan Program are eligible, recipients selected through a random drawing, 40 $1000 scholarships will be given, details can be found at www.usbank.com/scholarship, deadline-end of March.

World Class Mediacom Scholarship Program – Mediacom will be awarding up to fifty $1000 scholarships, students planning to attend a four-year, two-year, or technical school.  Applications in guidance office or online at www.mediacomworldclass.com, deadline-February 11.
