CHURUBUSCO — Paul Sade announced on Friday morning that he will resign as athletic director at Churubusco Junior-Senior High School.
Sade will remain Churubusco High’s head football coach and is returning to an old teaching position. He said he will remain in the athletic director position until Sept. 8 unless his replacement is found sooner.
“This is my decision. I have been in athletic administration as the AD, Assistant, or interim for nine years now. And to be honest — I am flat tired of it,” Sade said in a statement released to area media Friday morning.
“Looking forward to focusing on football and teaching.”
Sade will begin his fifth season as the Eagle head football coach this coming Friday when the team hosts Whitko for a 7 p.m. opening kickoff.
Sade is 29-15 leading Churubusco with four sectional victories after previously serving as an assistant coach for strong Eagle teams led by Lee Etzler. As head coach, Sade led ‘Busco to a sectional runner-up finish in Class 2A last season and runner-up finishes to Eastside in the Northeast Corner Conference Small School division the past three seasons.
