Riehle wins state FFA essay contest

Kari Riehle of Churubusco placed 3rd in the State FFA essay competition and was recognized at the 87th Indiana State FFA Convention held at Purdue University on June 16. Competitors were given a topic, had 30 minutes to research the topic, and then had to prepare a two-page typed persuasive essay. Grammar, spelling and writing skills were graded, as well as following the APA format, and a separate page of work cited. Riehle was the District III contest winner in March. The top individual from each of Indiana’s 12 districts participated in state competition at Purdue.
