Program on cattails show their beauty all around us

ALBION — Chain O’ Lakes State Park visitors are invited to learn with Miami Tribal member and Plant Tradition Bearer, Dani Tippmann, about Miami traditional plant usage on Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m.

The program will focus on cattails in the spring. If the cattails cooperate, visitors will be able to taste traditional cattail foods. Participants also will learn about the beautiful way cattails touch all of our lives. Chain O’ Lakes State Park is excited to host this wonderful artist outside at Stanley Schoolhouse starting at 2 p.m.

This program is made possible through the support of the Indiana Arts Commission in cooperation with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. This is the first part of a three part series by this artist this summer.
