The Churubusco Eagles were on their way to a victory over the Adams Central Flying Jets, leading 16-0 after their first two possessions. The only problem was nobody told Adams Central that they were beaten. The Jets struck late in the half on a 91-yard pass play from Dalton Combs to Ben Mishler. The pair also hooked up for another 25-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Spencer Sharp put the Jets ahead 20-16 with a 57-yard touchdown run to close out the scoring.

The third time wasn’t a charm for the Lady Eagles as the Central Noble Cougars defeated them in three straight sets.
The Cougars came out strong in the first set and took advantage of the Eagles’ unforced errors beating them 25-13. In the second set the Lady Eagles kept it close before faltering in the end dropping the set 25-21. Churubusco fought back in the third match but the Cougars won 26-24 to advance in sectional play.
The Busco Merchants squared their record Sunday evening with a 65-64 thriller over Meauure Concrete.
