The Churubusco Lady Eagles begin a new era on the court. Jamie Perlich has taken over the program and is looking forward to this season. After going 10-75 the past four seasons the Lady Eagles look forward to a change.
The Busco Merchants got their record even again Sunday with a 50-47 win over Fort Wayne Metals after trailing 26-25 at the half. Busco opened up an eight point lead, 38-30 but the Metal Boys ran off nine in a row to again lead 39-38. It was clutch free throw shooting that made the difference down the stretch that keyed the victory.

On Saturday, October 31 Todd Sherman picked up his 19th A-Main feature win of the season. Sherman ends his 25th year of racing with his best season ever.

The NECC Conference announced the 2009 All-Conference team this past week. Churubusco has six players representing the Eagles, four on offense and two on defense.

Indiana Lamp out of Huntington owns the Busco Merchants handing Busco its second loss of the season 82-68. A dry spell halfway thru the half, when Busco trailed 19-16 cost them the game as Lamp ended the scoring with a 42-21 lead.
