CHEERS TO: Ali Roe and Sarah Horn! The All-Star Cheerleading Squad they are members of at Indiana Ultimate in Goshen recently received a Full Paid Bid to Cheerleading Worlds 2012 in Orlando, Florida.  This will be the third year these two girls have attended this event with their Level 5 Small Senior Coed squad.  Good Luck, girls!!

WHATABOUT: Applying for the Andy Spencer or Megan Young Memorial Scholarship?  The scholarships award one female and male student from Churubusco High School $1000 towards college. Any Churubusco High School senior athlete who plans to attend college is encouraged to apply at:  www.whitleycountycommunityfoundation.org.  The application deadline is April 15!

CHEERS TO: The 20 community readers who volunteered to come to CES on Friday, March 2, to read to K-5 students in their classrooms. They showed us how important reading is in our lives by their awesome example! Dr. Seuss would be proud of our Busco Community!!!

CHEERS TO: Trisha Brooks who organized and planned the Read Across America activities for the K-5 students.  It was loved by all – Reading Rocks!

CHEERS TO: Kewiki, the local author of the  “Wilbur the Ant” book, who came to CES and talked to the K-5 grade students in the auditorium last Friday as part of CES’s Read Across America celebration. He showed his love of reading and writing! We love “Wilbur the Ant”!!!

CHEERS TO: Anyone buying HANDS for $5 or a plaque/brick for a $50 donation to help complete the “Gazebo Project” of the Eagle Memorial Garden.

CHEERS TO: Liz Arvola, and Rhonda, Joel, and Rachel Fehring for waking up super early and driving to IU-Kokomo campus to be appraisers for the Regional DI competition. (They saved the four teams $600 by volunteering their time to DI!!!) You are all very appreciated!!!

CHEERS TO: All the DI teams for working so hard and doing a great job at Rgionals in Kokomo. AND A BIG CHEERS TO: Dena Pope’s team for doing a great job and going on to State competition in April. AND A HUGH CHEERS TO: Brandi Herron, Caitie Eakins, Robby Pope, Jenna Shambaugh, Rachel Jones, and Avery Dirr for taking First Place and getting a Renaissance Award. I knew you would be great and I’m proud of you! It’s hard for other teams to beat a team that won a trophy at Globals already. Good job!
