CHEERS TO: John Pelz, Cross Country coach, and Andrew Wagner, athletic director, for incorporating the Cross Country meet into the football game Friday night. It's difficult to support the Cross Country athletes. (They move too fast and go too far). This was a neat way for these hard-working athletes to get much needed support and recognition!
-Sue Lewis
CHEERS AND THANK YOU TO: The Post #3846 VFW Ladies Auxiliary for the wonderful job they did at the memorial service for Marleen Green. You all went above and beyond the call of duty! You deserve a “hero medal!” Also thanks to Rick VanHorn for his service.
-Dick Green and Marleen’s family
CHEERS TO: The High School Cross Country teams for their performance at Friday night’s half-time meet. Although you ran in front of a different crowd, you showed them what your sport is all about. We are proud of all of you.
-Your parents
AND CHEERS TO: The Junior High Cross Country parents for stepping in and working the concession stands at Friday night’s game so the high school Cross Country parents could see their kids run. AND CHEERS TO: Mr. Wagner and the Cross Country coaches for making the half-time meet happen. It was one of the best meets the kids have ever run. Can’t wait until there is another one next year.
-Shonda Hogeston
CHEERS TO: The American Legion and the Patriot Guard, Busco Police and Fire Department and the whole town for welcoming my nephew, Jeremiah Hughes home on leave. The turnout brought tears to my eyes. I can’t thank you enough for a great community.
