FLORIDA -- Kent A. Gerke, 60, of Palm Harbor, FL died unexpectedly Saturday, July 21, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laura; daughter, Aimee (Gary) Savieo of Churubusco; mother, Patricia of Oldsmar, FL; sister, Pamela Martin of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Gabrielle, Thomas Kent and Eryn.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Churubusco Saturday, August 25 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith's pavilion fund.
Kent retired from the Air Force in 1988 to work with his late father, Paul, at Fab-Weld Inc. and moved to Florida from Churubusco in 2007. He was very active at Faith and his church, Bethel, in Florida. Kent also enjoyed cruising with various classic cars, NASCAR, college and pro football games and IU basketball.
