FORT WAYNE -- James A. Vaughn, 89, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 10:58 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital.
Born in Fort Wayne, he was a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. He was a factory worker at Harvester, retiring after 20 years of service in 1980.
Surviving are four sons, James Vaughn of Churubusco, Robert Vaughn of Rochester, Minn., Steven Vaughn of Fort Wayne and Greg Vaughn of Spencer, Ohio; one daughter, Sandy Vaughn of Angola; three sisters, June Koontz and Alice Berlin, both of Angola, and Virginia Gull of Anderson; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Tom Mungovan Funeral Home, 2221 South Calhoun Street. Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
