ALBION, Ind. — Last Thursday morning, Governor Mitch Daniels held his final conference call interview prior to his last day in office Friday. It was a privilege to participate along with Robert Allman, owner and publisher of the Albion New Era and Churubusco News and six reporters from other newspapers across the state.

House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced committee assignments and leadership appointments for the Indiana House Republican Caucus.  State Representative Kathy Heuer (R-Columbia City) was appointed to three committees including one vice chairmanship. Committee chairmen and caucus leaders are selected biennially by the majority party after each election year.
