The annual Krider’s Christmas display will start on Saturday, November 27 at 6 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street.
The show combines electricity, music, and lights all together to form an animated light show synchronized to music. The music can be heard on 94.7 F.M. while driving by or can be heard from their outside speakers.
The theme of the show is “Listen To The Lights.” The show features 224 electrical channels controlling over 28,500 light bulbs dancing to the music. The shows will run nightly starting at 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. During the non-show hours the lights will be on in static mode.

Whitley County Patriots will meet Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Church of The Nazarene, 506 North Main Street, Columbia City.
As in recent months, food items for county food banks will be collected.
Featured speaker will be Constitution teacher Keith Potter, a 34-year veteran of social studies education. For the past 29 years he has taught U.S. Government, Advanced Placement Government, and Project "We, the People" at Homestead High School. A graduate of Michigan University and Ball State, he and his wife Jodi reside in Aboite Township.
Also on the agenda: Terry Smith with comments about Pearl Harbor Day.
County councilman Jim Bayman will talk about Indiana's open door law and the importance of citizens attending government meetings.
There will be a random computer drawing of 25 names for a free car wash compliments of Andy's, and election of 2011 officers. Whitley County Patriots will meet Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Church of The Nazarene, 506 North Main Street, Columbia City.

Shotgun Deer Hunting season opened Saturday in Indiana. This 275-lb. buck was taken Sunday by Trevor Curry, son of Wendi Gatton, at a local property. The firearm season continues until November 28.

The Churubusco Public Library Board of Trustees meeting in December will be on Monday, December 13 at 4 p.m. in the library. This is a different time. The usual board meeting is held on the second Monday at 6 p.m. in the library.

Cornerstone Christian School has been the recipient of a Dekko Foundation Art Partnership Grant.
In the past, art classes have been led by teachers and sometimes a volunteer parent. Now, because of the grant, Cornerstone Christian School is excited to be able to schedule Joni Walker, an area children’s illustrator and artist to teach art classes weekly to their Learning To Read through fifth graders. Mrs. Walker will also conduct a couple of art workshops for the sixth-eighth and ninth-twelfth graders.
Cornerstone Christian School is a ministry of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church and is located one block northwest of Highway 9 and 33 intersection in Merriam.
