Nelson wins national costume contest

Maddox Nelson, son of Josiah Nelson and Tracy McEntee, former Churubusco residents, won a national costume contest for his “Ro-Bat” costume that was entered through Indiana’s News Center website.

The costume started out to be a robot but Maddox was pronouncing it Ro-Bat so his mother made him bat wings from a black umbrella. He won a prize at his church’s halloween alterntive party so they decided to enter him in the Indiana News Center’s contest.

They received a Canon Power Shot digital camera as the prize.
