Mary Silverest Bucher

She had formerly lived on Johnson Road and more recently on Essex Lane before entering Kingston. 

Mary was born on October 15, 1919 in Montpelier, Indiana a daughter of the late Charles D. and Inas (Spaulding) Wilson. She was united in marriage in 1937 to Curtis A. Silverest, who preceded her in death in 1969. She later married Gerald L. Bucher on November 8, 1969, and worked at the Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne until her retirement in 1987. She was a long-time member of Ari Church of God. Mr. Bucher died July 26, 2008. 

Mary is survived by her children, Marsha (Jerry) Austermann of Lake Orion, Michigan, Carolyn Jo Silverest of Fort Wayne, Charles K. (Stella) Silverest of Forsyth, Missouri, Richard C. (Shelba) Silverest of Coats, North Carolina, Thomas C. (Joyce) Silverest of Howell, Michigan, Curtis R. Silverest of Auburn, Roger (Devonna L. ) Bucher of Fort Wayne, Gary (Sue) Bucher of Auburn,  and Dennis (Kim) Bucher of Churubusco; and 37 grandchildren, and 53 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by three daughters, Ina May Silverest, Geraldine M. Lyons, Gloria Galante, a son Jack L. Silverest, two sisters, Ruth Meadows, Frances Payter, and three brothers, Arthur W., Cyril A., and Henry M. Wilson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Silver Creek Church of God in Silver Lake, Indiana. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco was in charge of the arrangements.
