Martin still racing
Churubusco racer Bryan Martin started to work towards the end of the year in good fashion.
On Friday, August 14 at Gas City I-69 Speedway, Martin finished second in his heat and then finished the evening with a strong third place run in the feature.
On Friday, August 21 at Gas City, Martin started his Malibu in sixth position, was knocked back to tenth position and worked his way back to finish in sixth spot. Rain then set in and postponed the rest of the racing program until September 4.
Saturday night saw the Martin Racing team travel north to the Butler Speedway in Michigan. A strong field of close to 40 street stocks were entered at the 3/8 mile high banked dirt track. Martin finished third in his heat to qualify for the feature. A bad draw saw him have to start in sixteenth position out of twenty cars. At the end of the 20 laps Martin finished in ninth position.

Gas City I-69 Speedway next has races on September 4 with double features for all classes and it is the final points race of the 2009 season.
