Churubusco racer Bryan Martin had a great weekend to cap off the month of August.
Gas City had the night off from motorcycle racing, so Martin headed to the Montpelier Motor Speedway on Saturday night. He started sixth in his heat race and worked his way to a second place finish. In the 20 lap feature event, Martin moved his Chevy from sixth starting spot again to also finish the feature in second position.
Sunday evening saw the Kokomo Speedway as the spot for Bryan to race. Martin won his eight lap heat race finishing ahead of the nine car field. This allowed Martin to start on the pole for the 15 lap finale. At the end of the 15 laps Martin was able to claim second position out of the twenty car field.
This Friday is the last points race of the year at the Gas City I-69 Speedway. There will be double features for all four classes and Martin will see where he ends the year in points; he could finish either second, third or fourth depending on how Friday ends up.
Martin would like to thank his sponsors: Specialty Tool, Magee Racing Engines, Graphic Solutions and Beezley Auto Repair.
