Local racer, Bryan Martin, ended the point season at Gas City I-69 Speedway with a third place finish in the make-up feature that was rained out on August 21 and ran on September 11. This moved him into third place in the season long points battle at Gas City out of over thirty competitors.
Also on September 11, Martin finished third in his heat and fourth in the feature. On Saturday, September 12, Martin raced at the Montpelier Speedway and finished third in his heat and third in the feature.
Last weekend saw Bryan finish third in his heat at Gas City and move from his seventh starting spot to a third place finish in the feature. On Saturday, Martin once again headed to Montpelier and after a third place finish in his heat, Bryan was running for the feature lead when a lower ball joint broke sending him in to the first turn wall and ending his evening with much damage to his Chevy.
Bryan would like to thank his sponsors: Specialty Tool, Magee Racing Engines, Graphic Solutions, Marion Lifetime Muffler, Beezley Auto Repair, and Speedqueen Design of Kokomo and his friends and family.
