Make a Resolution to Visit the Library
The Churubusco Public Library is a wonderful place with a friendly staff, and a variety of useful resources. People of all ages visit the library to use the computers, scan the movie selection, and to check out books both fiction and non-fiction. Not only does the CPL carry a fantastic collection of books and movies, but also a variety of magazines, audio books, and CDs. The library also offers an assortment of programs for both adults and children.
The Grim Readers Book Club will be meeting on Friday, January 15 at 5 p.m. at the Churubusco Public Library. This month, the group will be discussing “Life as We Knew It” by Susan Beth Pfeffer. Come and discuss this stirring science fiction novel. All middle school and high school students are welcome to attend.
Adult Discussion Group
The Adult Discussion Group will be meeting Thursday, January 28 at 10 a.m. This month the group will be discussing any book by Agatha Christie. Mark your calendars and start your year off with a little mystery by attending this event.
In the midst of the winter season, the possibility of inclement weather increases. Chances are if the weather is keeping you off the road, it is keeping us from them too. If the weather is causing treacherous driving conditions, be sure to call the library to see if it is open at 693-6466.
Need a calendar for the new year? Stop by the library to pick up a Churubusco Historical 2010 calendar. They were created by Bob Allman and Chuck Mathieu and feature photos of Churubusco from the early 1900s to the 1950s. Cost is $5 each with all proceeds going to the Churubusco Public Library.
