Literacy Council can help

Unused study materials

If students have books or other study materials which are no longer being used, please return them. The book shelves are getting bare, and if study items are returned they can be passed on to other students. If they are still being used, students may come into the office and get enrolled for 2012.

WCLC GED/Adult Basic Education class locations

Columbia City: Huntington Excel Building: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. – 12 noon. Peabody Library: Monday and Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.

South Whitley: South Whitley Public Library, Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Churubusco: Churubusco Public Library, Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

The Whitley County Literacy Council Mission is to promote and enhance literacy life skills for those individuals who live and/or work in Whitley County.

They can help people learn to read, improve their reading, spelling and writing skills, and help people with numbers or math skills. They also provide everything needed to prepare for the GED test.
