Lady Eagles welcome break

The Panthers pushed the lead to 27-14 at the half. Churubusco  turned the ball over 15 times in the first half resulting in 15 points for Prairie Heights.
In the third period the Lady Eagles fought back going on a 9-2 run to begin the quarter. That put Churubusco within six points with just under two minutes to go. Heights finished out the period with six straight to post a 35-23 lead after three quarters.
The Panther defense held the Lady Eagles scoreless in the first four minutes of the final period extending their lead to 18 points. The Eagles were unable to recover as they were outscored 14-9 in the last quarter.
Holloway led in scoring with nine points followed by Kasey Gibson with eight and Taylor Amber with seven. Heather Monk grabbed 13 rebounds and Amber added 11 more for the Eagles.
The Lady Eagles return to the hardwood January 8th at Fremont and host Hamilton on the 9th.
