Bethany Lewis, Houghton, New York, and Kyle Alcock, Columbia City were married on Saturday, August 8, 2009.
The bride’s father’s, Rev. Dr. David Lewis officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony at Houghton Wesleyan Church in Houghton.
Parents of the couple are Rev. Dr. David and Eileen Lewis, Houghton, and John and Linda Alcock, Columbia City.
The church was decorated with candelabras down the isle, ivory bows and two floral arrangements at the front.
Musical selections included “Be Near” and “Hearts of Servants.” Musicians were Kaylan Buteyn, Houghton, friend of the bride and Tyler Gault, Huntington, friend of the groom.
The bride chose an ivory, strapless, Watters gown and veil of ivory tulle for her attire. She carried ivory and mixed greens with an assortment of flowers, roses, lilies and orchids.
Maid of honor was Rebekah Lewis, Ipswich, Massachusetts, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Kaylan Buteyn, Houghton, Dorina Oliveira and Nabrissa Oliveira-Bard, both of Senegal, Africa. Flower girl was Samantha Krawczyk, Leo, niece of the groom. They all wore moss green and brown strapless dresses.
Best men were Kevin Eames, Columbia City and Kyle Bauer, Fort Wayne, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Tyler Gault, Huntington and Adam Baird, Indianapolis, both friends of the groom. They wore black suits with white shirts and black ties.
A reception was held at Letchworth State Park in Houghton. After a honeymoon at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the couple is residing in Huntington.
The bride is a graduate of Houghton Academy and Huntington University. She is employed by Pathfinders in Huntington.
The groom is a graduate of Churubusco High School and Huntington University. He is employed by Boys & Girls Club in Huntington.
