Kindergarten registraiton and Rotary Auction two of many activities coming to SGCS

Frericks has been involved in New Era, volleyball, tennis, cheerleading and Spanish Club. She has also maintained a high academic performance through her high school career. Frericks plans to attend IU and study business after graduation.

CHS Agriculture teacher Phil Allen was named Teacher of the Month at the March 1 SGCS School Board meeting.

In his presentation of Teacher of the Month, CHS Principal Austin Couch said Allen works tirelessly in his preparation and delivery of material and gives his time freely to students of all levels. Couch described Allen as an innovative teacher who brings staff and students together through events such as FFA week.

“Several students have commented that they look forward to class each day and that they feel that Mr. Allen genuinely cares about his subject,” Couch said. “I feel Mr. Allen epitomizes how we have grown as a school in trying to offer opportunities for all learners. He is truly nurturing the drive in our students to become life-long learners.”

Kindergarten Registration – March 11 from 3:30-6 p.m. in the cafeteria.

FAME Festival – Saturday, March 13.

CES Spring Program (grades four and five) – March 18 from 6:30-7:35 p.m.

High Ability Break Out Session (all grades) – March 23 from 6-8 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Rotary Auction – March 16 beginning at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
