Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Charles T. “Tad” Parker and Deloris Veazey Parker. She had a 25 year career with the Collier County Government, retiring in January of 2010. Her most recent position was the executive secretary to the county manager. Prior to this, she worked for 17 years with Penn Central Railroad, Fort Wayne. She was a golf and fitness enthusiast, loved sailing and was an avid NASCAR fan. She enjoyed music, cooking and entertaining. She was an extremely caring, witty and cheerful person who loved life to the fullest.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Deloris Parker of Naples, Fla.; loving companion, Ed Torroni of Naples, Fla.; aunts, Dixie Alexander, Roedean Dowell and Alberta Malcolm of Columbia City; cousins, Gale Vance of Fort Wayne, Teresa Dowell of Columbia City, Stan Dowell of Churubusco, Kelly Peterson of Avilla, and Kevin Alexander of Columbia City; and special sistas, Jean Torroni Williams, Carol Fahl, Susan Young, and Elise Missail. She will also be missed by her many Collier County Government family and friends.
A Celebration of Life is 10 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010, at Moorings Presbyterian Church, 791 Harbour Drive, Naples, Fla.
