GARRETT – Churbusco’s girls’ track team placed 10th out of 12 teams in the Northeast Corner Conference meet at Garrett High School. The Lady Eagles scored 27 points. First-place Angola put up 118 points.

Churubusco’s Rachel Jaquay placed second in the pole vault. Jaquay also placed in third in the 300-meter hurdles. Heidi Zigler finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles to add two team points for ‘Busco.

The Lady Eagles got seventh place in the 400-meter relay with the team of Sierra Prezmeliski, Mia Linnemier, Zigler and Gross Brien. Churubusco also finished seventh in the 1,600-meter relay with Alayna Fulkerson, Stacia Fester, Brien and Jaquay. The Lady Eagles came in sixth place in the 3,200-meter relay with the team of Maggie Burrita, Fester, Kaityn Gearte and Fulkerson.

Chassy Gallmier came in eighth place in shot put to put a point on the board for the team.
