James E. Caywood

He was born on November 6, 1938, in Steuben County. He retired in 2001 from Fruehauf Corporation where he had been Plant Manager of Fruehauf Plants in Waverly, Ohio, Ft. Madison, Iowa, Lancaster, Pa., and Charlotte, N.C. He began his career with Fruehauf in Fort Wayne.

Surviving are his wife, Pat; daughters, Tricia Caywood of Indianapolis and Cheryl (Jeff) Wylie of Pennsylvania; sons, Joe Caywood of Mexico and Jon Caywood of Bolivar, Mo.; additional children, Robin (Todd) Bertch, Victor Caywood, Jimmy Caywood, and Bryan Caywood; grandchildren, Samantha, Andrea, Cameron, Kelsey, Brieanna, Jon Jr., Cheyanne, Erin and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis and Harley; mother, Hilda Caywood of Fort Wayne; brothers, Don (Phyllis) Caywood of Spencerville, Dale (Linda) Caywood of Wolcottville and Mike (Nancy) Caywood of Huntertown; and sister, Diana (David) Fry of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father, Emanuel; and brother, Wendell.

Funeral service was Sunday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling was. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Leo Memorial Cemetery, Leo.
