CHURUBUSCO — The holiday season is quickly approaching. Not only are people worried about getting the perfect gifts for family and friends, they want to make sure their homes are in tip-top shape for hosting guests.
Sew What, a downtown Churubusco upholstery store, is poised to help local families host holiday gatherings.
Angela Enright established the business in her home in 2009 and relocated downtown June 1.
Though it doesn’t specialize in retail shopping, there are some items available for purchase for home decor at Sew What.
Enright says she can help people prepare for the holidays with placemats, table runners, drapes, and sofa and antique reupholstery.
Sew What in Churubusco allows buyers to customize their orders, and in some instances, they may get a better deal than shopping at bigger box stores.
“Everything here can be hand-picked,” Enright said.
During the Churubusco Chamber of Commerce’s small business week, the week of Thanksgiving, Sew What will offer a discount.
Enright moved to Churubusco about 15 years ago and all of her children attend Smith-Green schools. Since moving her business to downtown Churubusco, she’s been excited about the increase in local sales.
“Before I moved into downtown I received a lot of orders from outside the Churubusco area,” Enright said.
Sew What is located at 116 W. Washington St.
