History Center’s 25th Festival of Gingerbread continues

Saturday, December 4, 1-3 p.m. – Visit with Santa Claus.

Sunday, December 5, 1:30 p.m. -. “History of Holiday Traditions in Different Cultures” lecture by Sara Gabbard

Saturday, December 11, 1-3 p.m. – Science of Sugary Structures, $3 per person, sponsored by PNC Bank and Science Central.

Sunday, December 12, 1-3 p.m. – Cookie Decorating Party, $1 per person.

The Silver Anniversary of the Festival has as its title sponsor Lutheran Health Network.

Special holiday exhibits during the Festival include a Wolf and Dessauer display of animatronic characters, an exhibit of “A Christmas Carol” watercolors that once adorned the Patterson Fletcher Department Store; and a display of holiday photos from years past.

Hours during the Festival of Gingerbread are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday 12 noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors and students, and free to children age five and under. There is no extra charge for special activities or events unless indicated.
