Gustave P. Motz

Born August 16, 1923, in Fort Wayne, he was a U. S. Marine Corp. World War II veteran. He worked as a mail carrier with the U. S. Postal Service for 30+ years and was a charter member of Our Hope Lutheran Church, Huntertown.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (Steve) Cox and Rosy (Steve) Blessing; two sons, John (Deborah) Motz and Richard (Susan) Motz; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Pete) Motz; and one sister, Ruth Huntington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen P. “Pat” (Manes) Motz, in 1987.

Service was Tuesday at Our Hope Lutheran Church, 1826 Trinity Drive in Huntertown. Arrangements were by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, Fort Wayne.

Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Memorials are to Our Hope Lutheran Church or Parkview Home Healthcare & Hospice, Columbia City.
