Girls Volleyball picks up Conference win

“We had to handle the middle. The effort wasn’t there tonight. They have to find it inside them to win,” said Coach Bankson after Tuesday night’s game.   Well, what he said must have gotten to the Lady Eagles because on Thursday they hosted Eastside and fought their way to a victory. The Lady Eagles won three out of the four matches, the first one by a score of 25-14, second 25-18, lost 23-25 in the third, and finished play in the fourth with a 25-19 win.

Leading the way for the Eagles was Taylor Amber with 18 kills and 20 digs. Alexis Bankson with 30 assists and 3 aces. Hannah Dodson had 2 aces and 16 digs. Danielle Hartmann had 3 aces and 33 digs. Ashlie Shelton had 15 digs. The JV also won 25-12 and 25-20.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Thursday at Fremont and Monday they travel to Prairie Heights. The Lady Eagles will return home next Tuesday for a match against Lakeland Christian Academy.
