She was a 1958 graduate of Huntertown High School and on August 2, 1958 she married Donald R. Herron at Churubusco United Methodist Church. Gail was a 4-H leader for the handicapped, a member of Morning Glories Bowling League and honorary member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was employed at Sears Glenbrook for over 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Herron of Churubusco; children, Donald R. Herron, Jr. of Churubusco, Anthony E. (Lea Ann) Herron of Churubusco and Nicholas D. (Lisa) Herron of Auburn; sisters, Elaine (Ron) Renkenberger of LaOtto, Alma DeVore of Wabash and Mary Helen Wheeler of Eaton, Ohio; brothers, Edward Stoops Jr. of Missouri and David (Kathy) Stoops of Butler; grandchildren, Kelly (Mathew) Haber of Churubusco, Amy Herron of Churubusco, Nancy (fiance Cody Gordon) Herron of Churubusco, Anthony Herron Jr. of Churubusco, Kaleb Herron of Auburn and Emily Herron of Auburn; great-grandchild, Claire Haber of Churubusco; beloved friend, Linda (Mac) Millington; special friends, Rebecca Herron-Whitman, Sharon Meitz and her co-workers at Sears; other relatives, brother-in-law James Herron of Churubusco, sister-in-law Sandra Speakman of Churubusco; several nieces and nephews and countless friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 1 from 4-6 p.m. at Blue Lake Community Center with a short service to follow at 6 p.m. The family requests happy memories and fun times shared in lieu of flowers and tears.
