This year we are planning to have the second annual fundraiser auction and dinner on Thursday, October 13 at 6 p.m. at the Churubusco Boy Scout Building in the Churubusco Park. Tickets will be $15 which ensures your admittance, as the Scout Building has a limit of 75 people, and this includes your dinner. Tickets at the door will sell for $25. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., meal begins at 6 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Some items to be auctioned are Colts tickets, 14 rows from the field, four park hopper Disney tickets donated from Disney, a reverse osmosis water system donated from Aquatek, some date nights donated from Churubusco Family Dentistry, Gift Certificates/ cards from Meijer, Walmart, Bubbles and Barks, Sav-U-Mor and other places. There are free admittances to many places like: Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, Indianapolis Zoo, Indianapolis children’s Museum, Holiday World, LaOtto Paintball Plex and other places. Many fun themed gift baskets, summer fun, Avon, Pro-Fed and others. Dale Jarrett/ Arnold Palmer Nascar 1:24 scale race car. Autographed signed pictures, an Ipod donated by Sweetwater Sound. There are too many items to list them all.
New this year is “Knead a Chef” donated by Chef Eric Braun. He will come to your home and cook a seven course gourmet meal for you and three friends. He has served entertainers, politicians, sports figures, retired and current, the chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff under Bush 43 and now YOU! He has raised over $20,000 for the Make-A-Wish Organization, The Kidney Foundation, The Arthritis Foundation and others.
