Ernest E. ‘Bud’ Rusher

FORT WAYNE — Ernest E. “Bud” Rusher, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at his home.
Born in Metcalf, Ill., he was employed as an order processor for Roots Blower, retiring in 1979. He was also a realtor-broker for Leming Realty, Connersville, Ind. He was a 50 year member of Warren Lodge 15 F & AM, Connersville; Scottish Rite Valley, Fort Wayne; Mizpah Shrine, Fort Wayne, and Central Christian Church, Connersville for 70 years. He loved his family and cherished his grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Rusher of Fort Wayne; son, Larry (Kathleen) Rusher of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sue Rusher of Portland, Maine; grandchildren, Matthew Rusher of Albion and Nathan Rusher of Fort Wayne; great-grandchild, Nora Rusher of Huntertown; two nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Rusher; and sister, Lorraine Bennett.
Service was Saturday at D. O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Forrest VanGundy officiating. There was calling Friday with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Burial was at Eel River Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Memorials are to Shriners’ Hospitals For Children Burn Center, Cincinnati, Ohio or Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
