Diana Lou Pressler

Born on October 20, 1939 in Goshen, she was the daughter of Reed Place and Alice (Benner) Place.

She attended Jasper High School, Jasper, and married Leolan D. Pressler on September 27, 1958, in Syracuse. A Whitley County resident since 1958, she retired from General Electric, Fort Wayne, as a factory worker with 32 years service. She was a member of American Legion and Eagles Auxiliaries.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Leolan D. Pressler of Columbia City; children, Sue (Doug) Smith, Albion, Layne D. (Janine K.) Pressler, Columbia City and Monica (Ed) Maloney, Churubusco; five grandchildren, Lynn (Crystal) Pressler, David (Amber) Pressler, Mike (Krisa) Pressler, Camron and Cady Pressler, all of Columbia City; four great-grandchildren, Mathew, David, Rilee and Brennan Pressler, all of Columbia City; four step-grandchildren, Lori (Kent) Cunningham, Ligonier, Amy (Jay) Stringfellow, Middlebury, Jason (Sarah) Smith, Idaho and Dirk (Sara) Smith, Utah and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Pat Jones; one brother, Al Place; and one step-grandchild, Angie Smith.

The funeral was Thursday with Pastor Barry Faucett, Assistant Pastor of New Hope Wesleyan Church officiating at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home in Columbia City. Burial was at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.
