She was Past President of the Indiana Floral Association, Teleflora and FTD. She was one of the florists chosen to decorate the White House in 1974 as well as the floats in the Rose Bowl Parade. “She mentored inspiring floral designers in ways that would bring out their best. She was a hardworking, loyal, classy, inspiring, creative, kind, and loving person. Her legacy is . . . no challenge is too great. If you asked her what her favorite flower was, she would say . . . all of them.”
Surviving are her husband, Tommy Lee; daughters, Jacqueline (Steven) Fanning and Tracery (Phillip) Scribner, both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; sister, Sue (Jim) Shepperd-Cox of Fort Wayne; brother, Larry (Sue) Schrader of Monticello; and sister-in-law, Carolyn (David) Tulloch of Fort Wayne.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco.
