COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s Downtown Business Alliance has put together a hefty prize package for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The competition, called Eagles News Entrepreneur Competition, was created to promote new business start-ups in Columbia City.
The winning contestant will launch his/her business in an available space downtown — 12 months rent free.
The competition allows contestants the opportunity to build a business plan, and present that plan to a panel of judges.
Along with a year rent-free, the winner will also receive: web and social media assistance from Natalie Spain, interior design assistance from Sharon Geiger at Interior Design by Sharon, signage from Blue River Digital and logo design by Graphic Design by Peggy Ewing.
The winning contestant will also be offered free business coaching and planning from the Indiana Small Business Development Cener and other entrepreneur services by the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation.
The contest will have four rounds.
