Churubusco shows its true colors

On August 29 a golf outing was held at Eel River Golf Course to benefit the Andrew Spencer Scholarship.  The scholarship was formed in memory of the tragic loss of Andrew Spencer in an automobile accident earlier this summer.

A special thank you goes out to Jeff and Heather Sims, Jerry and DeeDee McCoy, and Bill and Mary Vaught who organized this great event. Also thanks to Lenny at Eel River Golf Course who worked behind the scenes and had the course in wonderful shape.

We were able to raise close to $3000 that will be donated to the scholarship fund. The scholarship will be awarded each year to a very deserving student who will be attending college and starting the next phase of their life.

It’s efforts like this that should make each of us proud to call Churubusco, Indiana our home.

Thank you,
